Nope. I have that game. It fits most of the description of the second game, but I forgot to include one thing for it (now included in the edit). >_<

Can't find the name, but the first one sounds like one I had called something like "Running with a Laser Sword".

Ahh.. that does look/sound similar in terms of gameplay, except the game I'm talking about was more... brightly-colored? The art style was sort of like the art style of Edward McMillen or Nataliedee, and it wasn't a platformer (only two directions to go - left and right).
I'll add this in the OP.

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be the one the OP was thinking of. :)

I know there's an option to look at every app ever installed on an account, but for some reason, I can't find the games I'm looking for...
One of the games is a 2D adventure game for iPhone, and it involved a guy with a sword slashing cubes, collecting coins, and using various powerups. Different-colored cubes had different attacking abilities, and the coins collected could be spent when the guy arrived at a town. I remember the word "quaint" was used quite often to describe the towns. At the end, the guy was running through trophies (?) and could view the scoreboard (?) with the best playthrough times.
The second game I can barely remember.. It was for iPad, the background was blue, and there were clouds where creatures (?) stood. The game was set up in levels, and you had to complete each level under a certain number of moves. I think it was a paid app, but I had the free version.
EDIT: A little more information about the second game - it had the ambient-abstract feel of a game like Osmos, or Splice.
EDIT2: Copypaste of one of my replies containing more information about the first: Ahh.. that does look/sound similar in terms of gameplay, except the game I'm talking about was more... brightly-colored? The art style was sort of like the art style of Edward McMillen or Nataliedee, and it wasn't a platformer (only two directions to go - left and right).
EDIT3: The first game is called Fastar! Thanks again, Overvalued. :D
