yeah just saw the bundle it's $416 worth of games, for $1. they will get like $63 CV if they give it all away. isn't that unfair? I mean most of the GAs here are discounted but that's wayyy tooo much discount for $1. who am I to complain anyway LOL free games are free. cheers!

It's about the same. This works out to be 3.4 cents per game if you divide it evenly and these games are valued higher than a lot of the ones on the Russian sites.

honestly I don't buy bundles to make GA's so my contributor level gets higher. I can't really afford to do that so I usually purchase bundles that I can fit into my budget ( can't beat 1.00 bundles) that have games that I have had on my wishlist and/or want to play myself and then any games I already have or I am not interested in playing I create GA's.
This way it's twofold, I can purchase games I wanted to have and have fun giving to others. ^.^
This bundle at Fanatical had 9 games I had on my wish list and the rest I've set up GA's ( last ones I have to wait since I could only put up 16 GA's at this time). I had some of the games already and some I'm not interested in.

Not if you store points in 4 week GAs for when it happens. ^,..,^

if only I had more points could have won more
Not really since more people would enter

But also yes really.
More points means you can enter more giveaways. You might not have better chances of winning a particular giveaway but the more you enter the more chances you have to win something.

Yes, if you would be the only one getting more points.
In the end there is still x gifts distributed to y users. Some users might win less or more than before depending on their entering habits, but it's still the same average number of won gifts per user regardless of the amount of points.

It doesn't matter if everyone else is getting more points. If you don't have points to enter it you have no chance of winning it in the first place. The more giveaways you enter the more chances you have to win something. It'd be different if OP was trying to win a specific giveaway as everyone else having more points would mean an increased number of entries but the line you originally quoted makes it seem like it's the actual winning that's important and not what's being won.

The more giveaways you enter the more chances you have to win something.
Again that is correct only if the amount of entries in giveaways doesn't increase, so if other people aren't getting more points too.
If you enter 5 giveaways with 50 entries each, your odds of winning at least one are 1 - ((49/50)^5) = 0.0960792032
Now if people get more points, let's say you can enter 10 giveaways but now they have 100 entries each, then your odds of winning at least one are 1 - ((99/100)^10) = 0.09561792499
There you go, you entered more giveaways and yet you're not more likely to win.

you're not more likely to win.
That's not what I'm getting at. Under the current system a user would receive 24 points over the hour after the bundle launched. Under the old system they'd almost certainly have hit the max capacity at least once, that's 300 points. The cheapest game in that bundle requires 7 points to enter. So you now get upto 3 entries rather than the 42 you would have gotten in the past.
Flip a coin looking for heads, roll a die looking for 1, eat Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and pray it isn't earwax or enter a giveaway and hope you win. Individually each attempt is no more likely to result in the desired outcome but the old system would give you 39 more chances of winning.
tl;dr You can't win it if you can't enter it.

That's not what I'm getting at
It's not ?
the more you enter the more chances you have to win something.
The more giveaways you enter the more chances you have to win something.
Individually each attempt is no more likely to result in the desired outcome
For the examples you mentioned, yes, the number of possible outcomes remains the same between each attempt. The coin or dice will always have the same number of sides. Giveaways will not always have the same numbers of entries, if points increase so do entries. You don't have more chance to win if you enter more giveaways with lower odds.

Number of entries don't matter.
3 entries, 3 chances to win, 3 wins maximum.
42 entries, 42 chances to win, 42 wins maximum.
You might not win more but you have more chances at winning.

I had to remove all my entries on trains here, so I can join these GAs. in fact it's never enough points, and I have like won 2 games already if only I had more points could have won more. The GAs are still on going. I wonder why not much people are entering.
Sorry I made a thread just for this, you are free to blacklist me, coz it happens everytime I make a new thread.
