"Buying" Age of Empires Online - help

Olla,

I can't play AoE in my country. If I were to buy a DLC from work (proxy USA) would the game then appear in my library?

I heard a few stories about somebody else buying a game you can't buy and gifting it to you... any chance this stuff works?

You can dl it outside of steam though, might be best solution.

store.steampowered.com/?cc=us then search for the game, and click "download" steam will open and start downloading, worked for me with Bloodline Chempion

Actually, it starts downloading but you can't see the progress nor execute the game. Region restrictions on free to play games is pointless and evil. e.e

If someone else buy the the game for you and gift/trade with you it will work perfectly. I have done that in the past many times with many games
