Tell me some awesome games I can play with this laptop:

OS: Windows Vista - 32bit
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 - 1.66GHz
Memory: 2GB
Video Memory: 128MB
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X2300

I don't care if I will have to lower my graphics and resolution settings to lowest. I don't care about the graphics.

I'm playing on this Fallout 3 on 640x480 and some medium settings, like textures or view distance.

(I was thinking about Oblivion for example.)

And I appreciate some games from PS1, like Dino Crisis, Resident Evil and other oldschool games.

Front Mission 3 was good, but probably just for PS1.

Btw, do you think I can run PS1 and PS2 emulators?

I have a lappy with those specs except nvidia 8600 gs, anything you see in my library can be played.

circa 2005?

I don't think I will be able to play Metro 2033. Ravaged won't start and it would be unplayable anyway, Red Faction: Guerilla nope, maybe PAYDAY: The Heist, but I won't be able to play it online, and single is probably boring, maybe Torchlight.

I have not actually tried metro 2033 yet or red faction but payday and torchlight 1 or 2 are no problem.

Nvidia 8600GS is much better than ATI Mobility Radeon X2300. This GPU is crap. I will try Torchlight, Oblivion, and Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics. I'm sure I can run these games. It's like Diablo 2?

for oblivion there is a mod named oldblivion. You can try morrowind too
Perhaps dark messiah of might and magic (and why not arx fatalis)
VVVVVV, indie game I really enjoyed
Cave Story (free version)
And a lot of old games (fallout 1/2, daggerfall, deus ex etc...)

I will be able to run Oblivion even without mod, I play Fallout 3 now, you can try newer games too, to year around 2008. It's not that super weak to play only games with Deus Ex 1 graphics. But I was thinking about Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics too. I really liked them, like every Fallout.

Well, you don't play old games only because of the graphics.
I really enjoyed fallout 1 on my pc which can make run almost every 2012 games on ultra 60fps+
And you really should try VVVVVV, at least try, it's an awesome game.
I didn't like it but Two worlds II is pretty optimised on PC.
There is also Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines as great game

What do you mean by the first sentence? I don't care about the graphics. I'm downloading old Fallouts now. I last played them on Windows 98. And I have VVVVVV and tried it. Didn't like Two World II much, I prefer Fallout games or The Witcher. Hmm... I will be probably able run The Witcher too. But I'm still wondering about PS2 emulator, I probably can't run it... And I will try that Vampire game.

Well you talked about the fact your PC can run games with better graphics than Deus Ex and it looked like you thought I proposed you "only" old games because I thought your PC couln't handle anything else.

Yes, I thought that :P I didn't try to say that I wanna games with better graphics.

I'm not up to date with PS2 emulators but some time ago they needed quite high cpu clocks to run more sophisticated games, at least C2D@3.0 GHz. They were not too much gpu dependable.

I know, but some games from PS1 are for PC too, but not many probably. I never used emulator, it is hard to configure? I saw it has a lot of stuff in configuration. And do I need gamepad? Also, can I run PS2 emulator?

It isnt that hard to configure. Just check some youtube videos about it. Also, you CAN NOT run PS2 Emulator.

Hmm, too bad. Wanted to play MGS3 again. But wondering about gamepad, I know I can use keyboard and mouse, but some games may be hardly controlable on it.

EDIT: I heard ePSXe is best PS1 emulator, is that true?
EDIT 2: I downloaded PSX emulator, because it's easy to use, and it feels like real PS1. ;-) (PS1 graphics).

Loads of old great games - AoE1-2AoK, Populous3, Duke Nukem 3D, FTL, adventure games, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, endless list. - newer doesn't necessarily mean better. Got all these new fancy games, but still prefer the oldies ^^
