Thank you. I'll block them all. Good that I checked before doing anything.

you could mess with them, its always fun. just keep telling them what where??? also make sure to report the account, most of the time its stolen and discarded. lost 2 friends this way, one of them went back and found me and some others that the hacker had unfreinded

Sad that people actually try to hack other's accounts like this.

Good to know, I googled it before deciding to do anything and decided to post here to double check.

Almost certainly. A few people I know online already fell for something similar, but they thankfully got their accounts back without anything missing as far as I'm aware

Any communication between Steam mods and you are made in steam support channels, no account-related info should be shared in steam chat, or on other platforms..
YOU will be the first person to know if there are problems with your account.
They just hope in people panicking and doing silly stuff.

Yeah.. besides the random user "accidentally" reporting my account, them asking me to contact an admin instead of settling it themselves, them magically having the private discord of the steam admin, then the user being a new account, and all this being done on discord instead of steam was just weird.
Very glad I checked before doing anything.

Aside from screenshots of the conversation and report screenie, this "admin" is also asking for a screenie of my purchase history.
This is probably a scam to take over my account, yes?
Yep, they are going to use that as proof to demonstrate that your account is theirs.
Or they'll ask you to login in a phishing website, or whatever.

Thank you. I have the accounts all blocked and am reporting them lol.
It's times like these I'm glad that there are sites like this around to double check on fishy things.

Hi, just need help to confirm if this is real or a scam. I haven't sent any personal information yet since this all seems fishy.
A person from discord that I've never met before before claims to have accidentally reported my account.
They are claiming that the steam admins aren't listening to them, and want me to contact them myself.
This is the screenshot they sent. !(https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/829016457856942200/829017539858137119/149002978_2974209672810982_1688814159678372373_n.png?width=992&height=432)[]
They claim that this is the admin who they filed the report with. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197972755855 and his discord Burke#1062
The steam account has the valve's employee badge. However, the discord account has a sign saying that they are new and their discord profile does not link to the steam account.
Aside from screenshots of the conversation and report screenie, this "admin" is also asking for a screenie of my purchase history.
This is probably a scam to take over my account, yes?
Thank you.
