Probably a good idea to remove the links, I'm pretty sure this is considered calling out

InB4 you'll be reported for calling out...

Anyway, AFAIK all you can do is write to Steam and hope against all hope he'll not scam anyone using your credentials.

No calling out, pretty sure it is against the rules

as others said, no calling out..

otherwise all you can do is leave them negative feedback stating they are impersonating you and not actually you. (which you've done already) & maybe if you feel like wasting your time you can report them to steam also. (but steam wont care)

Nice to see you back again...

By checking his previous nickname you can find one another person that got impersonated and reported him on steamtrades.

As said above, don't post links here about someone.

Just warn people here.
And eventually add links+warning on your Steam profile.

Funny that I use Enhanced Steam so I get a quick link to his Steam Trades profile, which obviously does not match the profile link in his user bio.

I can understand "no calling out" for cases of scams because there's no way of telling who's telling the truth but do we really need to apply that rule to cases like this where it's an obvious impersonator and the person being impersonated is warning others? There's no ambiguity about the situation here. Acolis is being targeted by an impersonator and it's easy to verify that this is what's happening. Should this kind of stuff really be included in "no calling out"?

doesn't matter how clear the case maybe. it is still considered calling out.

for reasons like the post above yours.. somebody else is even reporting the user now also.... which nobody here knows if maybe that account was hijacked and when the actual owner of the account recovers it they will have a shitstorm of reports to steam that doesn't even apply to them. (the reports truly belong to the hijacker)

to be fair i had a look at his previous names and it looks like acolis isnt the first person he has impersonated.

i know, but it is a 10+ year old steam account that was clean and had no redmarks for 12 and a half years, and suddenly 3weeks ago it turned into a scam account.. it appears to me to of been hijacked, so when the actual owner of the account recovers it with proof of ownership. they will still be dealing with the aftermath of user reports, scams, & ofc negative rep.

That is indeed very possible

your single report isn't any big deal anyways though, but i just used it as an example of why it's not allowed to call-out though.. cause if it were allowed, they'd be reported by the thousands instead of the realistic few reports for the few successful scams. (no need for SG to overload steam support more then it already is)

In theory setting name and avatar as somebody else might not necessarily be impersonating with intention to scam - I could in theory make a joke on you and change my details to the one that you use, but with no intention of scamming anybody implying that I'm you.

Yes, I know, pretty edge unrealistic case, but still.

Hang on, you Touhous have your own shop ? What can one buy there ? Cirno merchandise, Steamkeys near Bundle prices, human souls?

oh oh oh oh oh, i wanna be one of the cool kids following the rules n such, bandwagon ride commencing "NO CALLING OUT BRO, THATS LIKE UMM AGAINST THE RULES AND STUFF!!!" i feel sooooooooooooooo much better after my tremendous contribution to the forums

anyway, ive been there before, if you have any trade threads add in bold a warning to all traders and they will move on as its not very beneficial for them to be giving your trade link which states very clearly "beware of scammer", the warning as you have it not is not very eye popping, take a look at https://www.steamgifts.com/about/comment-formatting for help
