Weird, for me it says on the game description page: "Steam key issued upon purchase. Activate via your Steam account.".

Yes, I did. Well.. I'm not sure what you mean by it, but you can find the purchased steam key also on your Square Enix store account.
I purchased with paypal without any issues. No idea what the issue might be.

I can understand that. Me, I just wish I had enough cash myself. Grabbed it for a friend that was having problems with the UK store. :P

Its possibly just the store, or if you are out of the region, something to do with that.

Nah, they even offer free delivery for boxed games to Croatia so it shouldn't be a regional problem.

For all of you who experienced the "For security reasons, we are unable to process your payment with the PayPal... or contact the SQUARE ENIX Store Support using the online contact form for more information." issue...
This was the response I got from their Support.

"Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.
Unfortunately, you will be unable to use your PayPal account on the SE Store as it does not meet the security requirements of the Store.
We are sorry to inform you that we would not be able to provide any details on why the account has been blocked. We can only recommend that you use a different payment in the meanwhile if possible.
We apologise for the inconvenience

The Square Enix Support Centre team"

Basically meaning- fuck you, we're not telling why we won't let you buy it. Well screw them for this!

I am not new to either PayPal or online shopping so, unless there are some special circumstances (which they had to put somewhere on their page in some Terms of use or something like that) which prevent me from purchasing from them with a PayPal account (which is, according to them, an accepted method of payment), they are not really operating within law by doing this.

But thank you for pointing this out as a possibility, I'm sure it's gonna help someone :)
