is it safe and legit? and is it effective? because I recently checked the humblebundle and I saw it is included in the 15$ tier and now I found a mail from failmid that it is free https://sharewareonsale.com/s/iobit-malware-fighter-pro-sale and I'm thinking of trying it

Based on the best rated review doesnt seem worth it... ALL of the reviews saying it's excellent are all heavily downvoted.
I personally doubt the program.

Thanks. Wasn't aware this was free. Downloaded the trial version from iobit and entered the key they gave. Pro version was unlocked.

Edited - Looks like your run of the mill AV software. Only activated to see if the key works and it does. Uninstalled though since I like doing it bareback.

+1. I was lucky enough to shell out for two lifetime licenses for the pro version before they went to yearly subs.

I wouldn't suggest installing and using any of the IObit software. I've used it for a while and had nothing but trouble with it, plus it slowed my system down as well. Also, it was a pain in the butt to get rid of.

I have to agree except one exception.Advanced System Care Pro turned a really crappy, poorly running laptop into a speedy laptop for my father. I told him not to install it, he installed it anyway, and it was amazing the difference it made. Mind you he clicks any link you can imagine if it matches his search despite being told repeatedly not to do that.
First result on Google: "Looking for Dlel Labtop drivers downlod, we have your Dlel Labtop driver downlod here!"
Father: "Perfect just want I needed" installs blindly.

Edit: With that said, I still would not suggest installing it!

Really? I had Advanced System Care Pro installed and it made my computer slower than it already was (it's old). It took forever to boot and even caused RAM issues after using the RAM flush which led to a blue screen of death. After that, I just got rid of it which was quite annoying because unfortunately, a lot of programs like that just love to hook themselves in your system with everything they got and won't let go unless you force them out.

I'm not kidding at all. It was like night and day the difference it made for him and his craptacular over a decade old Vista laptop (which was "upgraded" from XP because it was bought during the transition and it came free with it.). It went from taking 3 minutes to get to Windows and then another 5 or minutes to get into a usable state to booting in about 45s and being ready after only a bout a minute. Considering I reinstalled Vista on there about 6 months ago, it works even better now than it did then. He installed it back during their last free year promotion, I think February, and it is still running like new.

Well, good if it works. Maybe it just doesn't run well on Windows 10. Who knows, but yeah, in general, I still wouldn't advise anyone to actually use any of their software because there's no guaranty that it'll do the same for them. I guess it won't hurt to try it on an older computer which is running slow, like your dad's, but with newer computers that don't have any issues, I'd just stay far far away from it.

Definitely, I would never install something like this on my own machine, a friends machine or even an enemies machine!

It is garbage. In my previous job dealing with malware issues, alot of machines running win10 and infected, running iobit a/v. It also does not uninstall correctly, leaving processes running as a service in the background.
