Hi, i'm like the half European, confined...
My girlfriend go back to her Country, the French country of Baguettes or omelette du fromage, it's like u want ;)
For a long time i'm looking for one (or more) game to play with her in local. Since Friday, there is a lot local games in reduction on steam with the remote play together.
So because of the distance i was looking for a game where we can play together from far away.
My question is, "the remote play together" works well ?
And...

Do you have some (great) games to play with your half ?

Unless you were broken each of you are both a whole, not a half.

First of all it really depends on your internet connections.

Yeah for most games, Among us apparently is populair these days, but might get old quick, Trine is nice.

I've used remote play on a few occasions without any problems. I know others have had lots of problems though. Try it on a heavily discounted game first to see if it works well for you both.

Untitled Goose Game is pretty casual fun to play without too much pressure.

But agreed as above you should check a game you maybe already have, see how the connection goes first.

Parsec works better for me than Remote Play Together

Looks like we're in a similar situation except I'm the one stuck in Cheese Country.
We played The Cave recently and that was fun. The platforming is not too hard and the puzzles are funny.

Also anything Lego and Chariot.

Remote play works fine. The only issues we ran into were due to my gf's crap wifi but that got solved.

Via Remote play together I played two Lego games, Chariot, Arcade Mayhem Juanito, Pikuniku and a little bit of Cuphead. All went quite well.
Also, good games from my library that have Remote play together feature, but I haven’t tried it:
A Hat in time, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Cat Quest 2, Trine series, Guacamelee 1 & 2, Biped, Rayman origins, Rayman Legends, Heave Ho, The Adventure Pals, A Way Out, Unravel 2

Also, you can play We were here series & Tick Tock: A Tale for Two together via online co-op

And you can create a dynamic collection in your steam app with ticked "Remote play together" feature to see what you already have

It really deppends on the genre you're looking for^^ These are really cool co-op games imo:
Online: Just Shapes & Beats, Kingdom Two Crowns, Overcooked 2, SPITLINGS, Tricky Towers, Unrailed
Remote play/Parsec: Aegis Defenders, Blazing Beaks, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, Cat Quest II, Degrees of Separation, Heave Ho, Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna)
What I really recommend is the whole We Were Here series. I really enjoyed it. (the 1st game is free)
You don't have to play it in order but its kinda nice to see the quality of games going up: We Were Here, We Were Here Too, We Were Here Together, We Were Here Forever - not released yet

Je suis tombé sur ton topic en recherchant autre chose mais si tu en cherche d'autres voila un jeu qui sort fin de mois sur steam, j'ai vu des amis y jouer sur ps5 et c'est très sympa en coop je te le conseil ;)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1599660/Sackboy_A_Big_Adventure/

Sinon Raft est très détente à jouer en coop aussi (par contre pas de coop local sur celui la je crois)

PS: Sorry for the necro!

Hello Didou, Would you translate for simple mortals? Apart from that, I'd like to know what did you play that you enjoyed and may recommend because I'm in a kinda similar situation. We played It takes two and shift happens, and we had a lot of fun.

hi Frijo,

My fault i start in French sorry :(

This is a translation for my message:
I came across your topic while looking for something else but if you are looking for others here is a game that is coming out at the end of the month on steam, I saw some friends playing it on ps5 and it is very nice in co-op I advise you ;)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1599660/Sackboy_A_Big_Adventure/
Otherwise Raft is very relaxing to play in coop too (but no local coop on this one I think)

And Didou just say he don't need this kind of game, atleast for the moment.
