[IDEA] SGifts Registration & Stuffs

fake gaways are healthy for trouts. it's what they use to breed so by allowing fake gaways we'll be saving them from near extinction.

Registration: We have removed invites completely, and registration is now open. The $50 minimum value requirement for accounts to register is still in place.

Events: We recently just had a pretty large pumpkin carving contest. 56 pumpkins were submitted with proof.

Profiles: I think this information is better left to the actual Steam profile which can be controlled for privacy by the user.

Forums: Google and Reddit both use Markdown. I think that answers that suggestion. Also, more features for the forums have been in the works, but there have been other important implementations that assumed priority. As for a reputation system, it's currently in place. It's called feedback. There have been several suggestions on how to display the feedback elsewhere, such as banners or colored usernames, but nothing has been announced yet.

OK, because I'm tired and kinda feel like writing stuff i'l go through your stuff one by one.

We can jump over the first part though, since registration is now open to everybody.

Events would be cool, although in my opinion the things you suggested hardly qualify as events, rather than "random giveaways".
Stuff like the pumpkin carving contest would be cool, although i would prefer something less "US centered" for the next one. Nobody outside the US celebrates halloween or carves pumpkins.

By signatures, do you mean like in other forums where it is shown below every single post? If yes then please god no, that would be immensely annoying. I don't wanna have to figure out if that line of text belongs to the post or not every time i read a post.
Profiles seem rather pointless since you can just visit everybodys steam profile.

I'm fine with the current formating system, and i absolutely don't want a way to integrate immages directly into posts. That would just end up spamming the forums since people would rather quickly start overusing memes/ragefaces.
Also, everybody can look up how to do everything in the sticky thread we have. Contrary to popular belief it is worth reading those.
i'm not sure about the postcount either. I think that would encourage people to rack up posts just to have a higher number than others.
