I'd rather play left for dead 2 for the rest of my life than buy this. Greedy fuckers.

Indeed it has, but they were silent for a long time after they announced it. The first material they showed was this video.

I have high hopes for this game and I just hope they don't rush it out too soon. ^^

I really hope so too but even a long development can be rushed at the end due to things like a deadline, money problems, people leaving the dev team,...

Bummer, I didn't know that, so yes; weird dev decisions is another possibility.

PAYDAY 2: Zombie Edition.
Since Overkill banned me for trying to point out they were lying to their audience just to cover up their own errors (again) since they seem incapable to accept they make mistakes; no thanks.
And I suggest you do the same, or learn how Overkill is...

How overkill is...?
I cant see any reason to believe that this game wont be similar to payday 2.

Well, since The Walking Dead seems still quite popular, a game like Payday 2 with its dlcs and cases and other items just makes sense...
Money, money, money.

I like me some Payday 2 and FPS games but $60 per copy...maybe on sale. Looks like it'd be a lot of fun with friends (like all of these games) and the combat seems quite satisfying. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm very excited for this game. I know the zombie game genre has been beaten to death (pun intended) but I enjoy them still, and the best part if playing co-op with my wife. We've played L4D and L4D2 and all the mod maps we could find. We've played Contagion, Dead Island and are working our way through Dying Light now. My hope is this will be another solid 2 player co-op game we can enjoy. If it is anything like Payday and Payday 2, I think it will satisfy.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is an action-filled four-player co-op multiplayer first-person shooter set in Washington, D.C. after an outbreak brought the dead back to life. In this test of skill, strategy and teamwork players will band together with up to three friends on a variety of missions, securing supplies as well as survivors to strengthen their camp against the threat of both the dead and the living - by any means necessary.

Huh? Why do you say they are greedy and dishonest? MIcrotransactions were removed from Payday 2. Read the backstory here
Or is it because Payday 2 has a ton of DLC? To that I say, so what? Payday 2 was only $30 at launch, later reduced to $20. Compare that to your standard Call of Duty or Battlefield game, for example. Those are $60 for the base game plus more for premium editions, and cost even more for season passes / DLC. Is Bethesda any better? No. Fallout 4 was again $60 for the base game and more for premium editions. DLC? That's all extra too. To get my wife a complete version of Fallout 4 I spent $105, and that was using a 20% off code.
The fact is, Payday 2 is no more expensive to own in its entirety than games like a Call of Duty or Fallout 4.
I'll finish by saying that if greed turns you off then you should avoid Steam entirely, because Valve has them all beat when it comes to greed. Support Origin, Uplay and GoG, platforms that let a game's publisher capture almost all of the revenue. Valve takes a 30% cut of everything, and their games are full of microtransactions. CS:GO case keys, anyone?

Maybe. They raised almost $30M by issuing stocks so hopefully that alleviated the money crunch. It has been in development for years so I don't know if we can label it rushed, but it is possible that they will release an unfinished or buggy game just to "get it out the door". The good news is Overkill has a history of continuing to work on games well after release. So, if this game does come out broken there's a very good chance they will make it right.
I guess bottom line is don't pre-order this one. Wait for some feedback to know what kind of state it is in at release.

That's true. Hope it won't have as many as bugs as payday 2 did and overkill will release a well-balanced game (the current payday 2 rebalance is... I once did Henry's Rock on DS and there were 87 cops in the med lab with me, the true feeling of death wish)
