I was pretty neutral regarding GFWL, but I did like earning Xbox achievements while playing on PC. And I could send harassing messages to my brother's xbox while I was playing something, so that's always fun. Its much more satisfying telling him to get a damn job using a keyboard than that awful controller.

One question (didn't want to open a new topic)

So lets say Dirt 3 has some tracks that you have to buy on GFWL. After closing, will they be unlocked, or gone or maybe be in form of a DLC on steam?

That entirely depends on the publishers. Dirt's devs have moved to Steamworks anyway, so they would just have to be contacted about it.

Never even worked properly for me for Dark Souls, I had to create an offline profile just to be able to save the game. I hope they at least make a patch to save the game for single player without it

Well, I don't know if it's even going to be patched. There's still a lot of games without any news about being patched and have GfWL removed. I HOPE, really, that From Software will remove it and it's very possible because they are still selling it, even giving it as an addon for Pre-Order of Dark Souls II in some places.

Ace Combat being converted is a good sign though, since Namco is definitely putting in resources after their previous "exploring options". It might still not be until DS2 is out before they attempt it, but it's looking better than before.
