So I don't know if any of you know this but a new scummy dev has hit the scene. A recent game - Dragon Kingdom Wars was taken off of steam due to stealing art assets from random artists. I, myself, notified one the artists who was unaware of the situation. Another posted a journal on deviant art.

I even made a forum post about the issue, informing potential buyers about the theft. It mysteriously disappeared about a day later. And it seems like any post talking about their misdeeds gets deleted as soon as they see it.

All of this is unsurprising in the least, but I think it's important to at least let people know about this sort of thing. Profiting of other peoples hard work is pretty shitty and it's even shittier when you try to cover it up.

Also, it's never a thread without a giveaway.

The lack of an artist in their team is probably suspect.

Lemme guess. The game was one of those cheap Chinese knock-off P2W skinner boxes ?

To their defence, idea and patent thieving is the government-mandated way there and the foundation of the entire country's industrial and technological advancement. So they are just doing what is normal for them. And hey, unlike most any cheap cash-in Russian games, some Chinese rip-off ones are quite good, as long as they are not story-based. (At least in Russian games, I can have some guesses on what they wanted to write there, but with Chinese ones, it is often totally hopeless.)
