Okay, what am I missing here? I was uninstalling some software and noticed Nation Red listed there. I've been trying to win that game for months so I was somewhat surprised. Checked in Steam, not there but I can buy it. Opened my Steam folder and browsed through and it is there. Double clicked the .exe up and played it. Doesn't show up in Steam as me being in game, yet I can still shift-tab out and chat with people.

What gives?

the game was once at a "free weekend" and it seems that the files stayed in your computer

The game files of free weekend games always stay on your computer unless you deinstall them. you just cant play the game anymore as you lack the license for it.

Well I'm thinking it must be a combo of free weekend and DRM free. I'll just keep playing it then. I guess it won't work online though.
