well..... the F2P version doesn't appear to have multiplayer, the paid version does.. otherwise i think you're correct.

I'm not 100% sure, but classic costs (or was costing) 10€, and I got it from a bundle. Classic 1997 looks pretty much the same but it's free (turned free later if I remember correctly), while Redux looks a little more modern

Shadow Warrior runs over DOSBox while Shadow Warrior Redux is a source port running with OpenGL. Redux has improved graphics and two expansions.

Classic Redux

The "remastering" isn't anything special, but it comes with the expansion packs. If you pick it up on a good sale, selling the trading cards makes it ridiculously cheap. I certainly wouldn't recommend paying full price for it.

Also controller support (haven't used it myself), and Linux support (not that you couldn't run the original in DOSBox) if those matter to you.

Free version, single player only, does not include expansion packs, uses dosbox

http://store.steampowered.com/app/358400/

old paid version, includes multiplayer

http://store.steampowered.com/app/225160/

10$ version, inlcudes above versions in launcher, made in source, has multiplayer, achievements, cards, additional expansion packs, full controller support

from store page:
Includes Shadow Warrior Classic Redux (OpenGL), two expansion packs - Wanton Destruction and Twin Dragon (OpenGL), and the original Shadow Warrior (DOSBox).
Remastered visuals, a remixed main theme, and compatibility with modern gaming PCs.
*Challenging Steam achievements for only the most skilled warriors.

The redux is definitely the way to go, unless you just want to try it out, then you can play the free dosbox version (first link)
