Are they as borderland ridiculous as Moxxi's achievements?

Because then it's not an achievement as per the meaning of the word? Then again neither is going out of the way to set up entirely artificial conditions to get it either.

Game stats pages somehow tend to find out of one used SAM or not, even if it was used intelligently.

Because if you use SAM - you're missing whole point of gaining achievements. No satisfaction, no pleasure from 100% and no challenge. And of course - no place in official rankings. Best example is astats, where script easy find all cheaters. Even I'm not saint in this matter - I used a trainer in Super Meat Boy (just to know whole story) and I played in server where you get achievements automatically in TF2. I was suspended for cheating - but i confessed and now achievements from both games didn't count for me, admin of astats.nl set it at my request. So if I ever use a SAM it will be only for erasing progress for both games mentioned above (since Valve doesn't care about achievement and do nothing even if I ask for that).

achievements are pointless anyway, outside of those achievements which give you in game items IE TF2, Payday 2, etc etc etc.. unless you have loads of time you aren't going to be getting ranked near the highest anyway.

I used Sam to unlock some troublesome achievements I already had for consoles and some of the Payday 2 ones that gave you items in game. Ultimately achievement hunting is kind of pointless in the grand scheme of things, especially MP ones which require people to game the system anyway.

Hm, this seems to be way easier for me, i've got lot of friends which are achievement hunters.
