Instead of a mmorpg where you accomplish nothing, play a good SP game that will entertain you and give you a good story or better, do something real. Learn a language, play the guiter, go outside and hit on girls.

Tera was quite fun when I played it. The true action combat is wayyyyyy better than selection based mmo systems.

I didn't play much MMORPG other than WoW, so I can just suggest you few of private servers for WoW that is enjoyed; Bloodcraft and Spermik if you want Blizzard-like servers or Molten if you don't mind x8 experience gain.

I've played endless amounts of free MMO's, too bad I can't remember any of them, and many of them are probably dead by now... I remember playing Flyff though. WoW private servers are fine I guess if the exp x is not too high and all that crap, and if you got a few people you know it should be kind of fun. I don't like MMORPG's today, because it eats time and single player games with superb story beats everything!

Tera has really cool combat system, but the one MMO I enjoyed the most was Cabal Online.

Scarlet Blade. Well, I suppose it would be enjoyable if anime boobs are your thing, haven't played it but it doesn't look like it has more going for it than ridiculous amounts of fanservice.

I heard Guild Wars 2 was an Excelent game, maybe the best mmorpg at all, but you must buy it.

Perfect World, the only MMO I played more than a week, I was crazly addicted to the game and have good memories from it.

ROSE Online was pretty badass when i used to play it years ago, its free and its on steam, but you may or may not like it
