hrmmm

since f2p games usually require a key to drop cards, does that mean we all still get cards since we had a key at one point in time? (O_o)

Hmmm remember that sometimes the games are Free to Play for a short time, I don't know if this is the case, I have to download it first to tell you, I just saw it Free to Play and I posted it here immediately.

I doubt it will drop cards if you owned it before because it doesnt add the same license. It ads "147998 Savage Resurrection - Free"
I tested myself. But lucky for me I had already idled the cards before mine got revoked last time :)

Only the first batch of players got card drops as the dev disabled card drops before revoking the keys

Doesn't seem to drop cards, bots are not starting to play it once I added the license.

Most F2P games don't drop cards unless you owned a paid license previously or under a form of DLC, and dev didn't mess up :P

Or of course, you spend $9 from the in-game store.

Does not +1, cannot drop cards in this state as it does not actually add the license to your account.

The difference here is that it is flagged "Free On Demand" for its redemption type. This activation type will never drop cards.

Yeah when I PLAYED (yeah I actually played it because of nostalgia, not like these other fcks that didn't even bother to play this classic rework) the beta I had the same problem and that's why I didn't buy it.

So the lack of active playerbase aside, is it a good game?

yes, apart from the fact that u need active players to actually play it...;
running around the map solo, turns out to be a let down....

I read something about bots in the reviews. Are there any and do they work?

What is the key revoke disaster people are talkin about? Do they mean the Beta keys they gave away sometime ago, which where for the server tests?

Permalink

yep, it's probably, sometimes developers don't revoke beta keys, but they did it.

So people tried to abuse the system and got mad when it didn't work out?

They weren't Beta keys if I remember correctly. Beta keys activate as xxx Beta and are automatically removed from people's accounts after the Beta period is over.

The keys provided for this game activated as xxx for Beta testing. Keys like this are full retail keys generated before the official launch of the game. Revoking retail keys like this leads to all sorts of issues including the manner in which cards drop for every other game on your account.

  1. Activated a beta key 15 deys before final release (first wave)
  2. Got more keys 1-2 days before final release (second wave)
  3. Beta key revoked after final release
  4. After final release, I activated again a beta key from second wave.
  5. FULL game still in my account, it drops cards (booster) http://i.imgur.com/q4PRgZ8.png
