Can't actually join this time because I'm driving back and fourth 500+ miles weekly to see a doctor to prep for another surgery. So needless to say money is excessively limited (can't even buy anything from the summer sale!!! >.<). This little event makes me feel like I can actually win something! <3

Thanks! And I mean, it could always be worse I suppose, it's nothing fatal, more mobility issues. Right now we're talking about the possibility of a full hip replacement and I'm only 28 :(!

If you don't mind me asking, did you get in an accident or something? And it's surprisingly common how young people can have issues most people think are limited to elderly people.

Nope, no accident, according to this doctor, basically since I was "super active" during my developement years I developed a "Femoroacetabular Hip Impingement". Which basically means that... I think wikipedia can explain it better honestly, blah blah blah, not a scholarly source, don't act like my girlfriend!

So here's what happened, one day I went out for a jog... The next day I couldn't walk... Not even kidding. I've already had arthroscopic surgery to repair what they could however when I left the first time I was basically warned that I was exceptionally damaged and they were only able to save like 10% of my labrum etc... I went through recovery, physical therapy, everything was great! A whole year goes by and I'm doing basically everything except the stressful stuff running/jogging/jumping/deep squats/etc. Thought everything was on the up and up...
I bent down to wash my foot in the shower... Can't walk the next day... I wish I was joking... So I have to make that stupid trip to see the surgeon because he doesn't trust the people in my home city to do a freaking x-ray/mri/anything else. I go back on the 3rd of July, and that will make my 5th trip for this second whole issue.
Sorry, got off topic a little bit... A big problem I have is that generally speaking those artificial hips need to be replaced approximately every 10 years. That doesn't account for someone who is young and more active than an elderly adult. So getting an insurance company to pay for them is going to be exceptionally difficult. Which is why I have to make so many trips and go through so many hoops. I have to make sure I have tried literately every other thing first.

I can't believe there's nobody closer that could help with at least some of it.. Although the doctors around here have no idea about things either, so I suppose...
insurance does it's best to not pay for anything. I hope you get it worked out
