Ya true, I hardly use my dvd drive too xD. Thanks for recommending that, I'll remove it from the list

What about any games on physical discs? I just bought the 2 Dungeon Siege expansions on disc a week ago :P

Ouch, that CPU. Frankly, if it's going to be that cheap, I'd just get a console... and I hate consoles. If you're going cheap, an AMD processor would get more bang for the buck, but that would involve a new motherboard as well.

Which specific model? Of course it can't be super expensive for him :P

I'm an Intel guy myself so the only things I can guess would be either an A6 model or an FX 4100... but cursory glances show the Intel being better than both so I guess it's good enough.

Check out what the Tek Syndicate built with $350, tho it uses integrated, you can change some things to add that 7750. Here's the video, seems that it bugged on the site.

Change what exactly?
The CPU + MoBo that's going to end up costing more. The cheapest that CPU is $110 and the MoBo is probably $50 so no point in changing that.
Ram is going to cost double so no point in changing that.
There's really is no point in changing the HD.
That case probably cost around $45-$50 so that's not the cheaper alternative.
And the PSU can go for $55-$60 which is another part that cost more.
There's really no point in changing any of the parts to the build you listed

buy an Ivy Bridge based Intel Pentium G2020 for 63.97 USD and Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive for 59.98 USD

i did something like this in the past, but theres no point in buying a case or power supply. People are throwing them out in the garbage all the time, just scrap an old one. It might take some time to find a decent power supply though...
Do you have any old parts you can recycle for the new computer?

Check out this bundle on newegg. Depending on tax and shipping, you'll have about $125-150 left over for a decent video card and power supply. Weaker cpu though. Anyways just another option.

Yeah its gonna be difficult to get a good rig at price range

Generally looks good. Some thoughts:
CPU: Pentium G2020 sounds better to me, it's Ivy Bridge, so will be a little faster and lower power. Just $4 more (at Newegg). (Review).
Motherboard: Why this particular one? There are cheaper ones, such as this, at $32 after rebate.
RAM: Two sticks will give double the bandwidth (although will limit future upgradability). This kit is $2 cheaper than what you have in the build.

I just made one for my friend.
Any recommendations? He's got like super low budget, but still wants to run bf3 and etc
Edit: I won't be replying to the comments even though they are helpful, thanks! My internet has some serious issues, and I am currently talking with them on the phone, while putting the suggested parts together.
