yeah... wait I think I missed something about bitcoin exchange rates in the last few years

Well, one bitcoin was rated $620 in July 2014.

If you had invested all of your possessions in bitcoins a year ago, today you would be less than half as rich as you were last year, as bitcoin has been quite stable at $260 in the last few months.

Make an isolated cottage, create your own garden, create your own hencoop, find a field to farm and you are done. No need to worry about any political or economical problem

You realize the Dollar would fall as well because of trade relations?

Also, I don't think it will happen, they put a great deal of effort into securing their aristocracy, they'll just once more cheat their own system.

so many minds ridded with propaganda...

all you need to know is: half of the greeks are below the proverty line, no, they cant pay right now, and yes they need a plan to make the economy work again, and that usually needs money

Reforms for money sounds good, for now

What would you expect from SG?
German kids feeling entitled to vomit their 'thoughts' without any knowledge about economics.
Just like most people talking about anything but worse.

What? Germany was one of the first countries to send them "care packages" with millions of euros and now Greece says that they never want to pay the money back.
Sorry, for "vomitting" my thoughts but I think we're pretty close to the source when it's about information.

We are not saying that we don't want to pay but that we can't because the austerity we followed for the last five years led to economic recession inhibiting our ability to pay and what is the solution Europe offered? Even more austerity!

I think varoufakis was a bad spokesman then. I get your point, it's good to hear from someone who is actually involved in all of this.
I think the EU is panicking right now because they fear a loss in the value of the Euro and their economy.

Those needed care packages as well as the rest that came later went primarily to the banks. Me and others while trying to find ANY job, we see our country being bought for the last 5 years. It is not a question whether we will pay or not. WE WILL PAY whether we want to or not. Even if we go to another currency, we will pay by devaluing that currency.

The problem all those 5 years was not that we party with Europe's money (ok some ppl were and because of them we are where we are but those ppl are primarily the banks and ppl in "special friendship" with them). The problem was that even when we did all those cuts we were asked to do, driving the people to poverty, unemployment or even suicides, the debt was increasing. Europe's plan for Greece is not working, if it did, our debt would be less, not more. That is the 1st reason we are protesting. The second is against our governments who brought us to this point.

I never thought they partied with their money.
All I know is when "we" sent money and the apparences of Varoufakis. I guess I got the wrong image.

Varoufakis is not Minister of Economy of Greece any more. We, EU and Greece, have to find a good plan to get us back on track. We are burned by the governments so many years now, I hope this one won't take the last shot and finish us off.

If half of the greeks are below the poverty line, but their average wages are twice as big as ours (Czech Rep.),
That means 0,5 x 2 ~ 0,5<i<1.0 x 1 . They should pay more and they will be still living. Simple math.
Edit: There is no need to have average greek pension value to equal average CZ wage.

poverty line means not having that much food dude, are you defending ppl to starve in order to pay a debt? i hope not

its not ok to say (to a nation) well others can do it, why cant you?!

Why dollar is dead?
While US still had problems, it is on the right direction to recovery. It is still widely used outside US, and a lot of international trades are done in US dollars.

China have huge reserves of US dollars, surely they wanted that US dollars remain strong. If US dollar is dead, then the Chinese reserves will be dead also. And if we are discussing China, out of $16 trillion of US debt, only $1.3 trillion is held by China, closely followed by $1.2 trillion by Japan.

USD will not die as long as it remains the World Reserve Currency.
? is how long will that last?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That may not be long if Russia and China have anything to say about it. We (US) sent most of our industry and jobs to China and now China has the largest economy in the world. Our own government is destroying our country from the inside.

Actually China has moved to increasing Gold reserves and used US Dollars to do so.
So China, Russia and India have moved away from the Dollar because it is widely known that continuous printing of paper money devalues itself.
If the US keep printing money devaluing particular nations Dollar reserves then what point is there in holding any Dollar reserves.
There are so many top economists stating that the Dollar will collapse, if you just take a moment to research outside of propaganda based perimeters.

The US dollar is just as bad and our economy is going to collapse. If you have a lot of money and want to make sure it will hold it's value, buy silver or gold depending on how much money you have. You want physical silver or gold, don't buy certificates. Silver and gold have always held there value throughout history, this is the safest bet to survive any collapse. Just find a good spot to hide it because history teaches us that governments like to make it illegal to own silver or gold when you need it most and they may try to take it.

It the value will go down a little but in a month it will go back to normal (good oportunity to trade FOREX)

If there is a currency that will go down, its the dollar, because of stuff (google it)

Greece will never pay the over 350 Billion EUR, Germany won't see a dime. So the EU either keeps propping up satellite states that contribute nothing but sucking the dry teet and swallow the loss, or they just swallow the loss and sanction Greece and try to ride it out and soften or prolong losing other nations that can easily go back to their currency or a basket currency. Germany can make it on it's own easily, they could be a very blessed country if they just went back to the DM or currency basket. EUR is a failure like Bitcoin as they are now both centralized and controlled by the bankers. A war would strengthen and keep the EU together though, should that happen.
