SteamGifts tutorial.

Welcome. If you haven't already, step one is to read the FAQ =)

Edit: For trading, it is very helpful to install this http://www.enhancedsteam.com/ You can use it to confirm the identity of the person you are trading with.

5) depends on what type of game you have but nothing is done automaticall

1) Automatically.
2) By giving away games.
3) By making a trade post in the trade section with this format: (just an example) [H] Bully: Scholarship Edition [W] 1 cs:go key. Leave your steam trade link in the post too, so that the buyer will be able to send you a trade offer for your game.
4) Library. Activate in your library or else you will get banned. :(
5) You have to buy a game, put it in your INVENTORY, and send it to the winner. You can also buy a game code and give it to the winner, as long as it's not used.

1. points recover by themselves. When people make Giveaways points go up
2. You level up by giving away games. Bundled games make you level up less then unbundled games. Theres a whole system to it but I'm to tired to go over that part.
3. Go to the trade section at the top. Put in the games you have and the games you want. You can then use the search bar to find games you want. When someone goes to trade with you, you will get a message (the envelope on the top right of page.) Then you can just talk to them and add them or not to trade.
4. You will either win a key, gift link, or gift depending on the person giving away the game. If you win a key, just activate it, if its a gift then the person will either send it to your email or add you on steam.
5. Same as 4, if you make a giveaway you can choose to make it a gift, key, or link. It will make sense when you look at it. If its a key, it will ask you to put the key down. If its a gift, just send it to the persons email or add them on steam.

As others have pointed out the first thing you should do is read the FAQ and Guidelines. After that this is a collection thread that covers almost every area of SteamGifts.

1). Points recover a little every 15minutes, or when people make giveaways.
2). When you give away games you get CV (alot for unbundled games, less for bundles games) CV levels
3). There are several types of trades done here, e.g games for games, games for keys, games for card. When the trade can't be settled in the steam trading window, normally the lower rep (steamgifts rep, not stema profile rep) goes 1st. Steam trades FAQ sortof read through the comments to get more ideas on how trades work before doing it, lots of people are scammed everyday due to negligence
4).When you win a game, you will either get a steam key or steam gift, which you should activate it on your account (if you trade the game or gift to another person you will be suspended)
5).When you make a giveaway, you have to give the winner the gift/ key code when the giveaway ends. The system will not automatically help you do it.

Your five questions were answered already, so I'll just add some extra tips:

1. Enter giveaways only for games you want,
   • you MUST activate any gift you win, and you can't regift them either;
2. When you win a game, activate it as soon as possible,
   • be sure to activate won games to the Steam account linked to Steam Gifts;
3. After verifying that you got a working key for the game that was featured in the giveaway, mark it as received,
   • if the key doesn't work, or it's a different game, contact the giveaway creator to find a solution;
4. Don't try to make giveaways for games you got for free (from gleam or Indie Gala, for example),
   • making giveaways for free games is forbidden, even if they weren't added to the free games list yet;
5. If you ever get involved with trading, add the Enhanced Steam extension to your browser,
   • it will make it easier to identify potential scammers.
