game pack, already have 1 game

So if I'd win a game pack which includes a game i already have, do i give it back to the gifter or can i just give it to a friend?

its prob the first but i just want to know.

they're called packs on purpose. You can not extract em

but i had blocks that matter, then i bought a pack which included it and it said: you already own a game of this pack, we will put it in your steam inventory

or something like that

This is only true for some (rare) packs. Usually, it is impossible to split packs.

Well you can then gift the game to a friend.
