Can't even add it for later use when you are forced to use windows 10 eventually.

If you have W10 you can unlock and keep it. Older versions, I guess not.

It won't work on windows 7, but if i ever buy a new pc, i heard some processors got windows 7 updates blocked, thus basically forcing you to use windows 10 eventually.

It's really mediocre. If you see 4* on a platform like that, PSN even more, you know it's not good.

PS it's a shity game, bought it in 1$ PS4 bundle and it was so stupid ... wasn't even worth the 1$ or 0.25$ (if you bring the other games into consideration) , well that's just my opinion

Yeah, MS won't even let add it via web, have to launch store app to add it.

I suppose VM would work though.

Then you won't be able to play newer and former Xbox exclusives like Halo Wars 2, Gears of Wars Ultimate, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition(all with 4K support) and giveaways like Halo 5: Forge multiplayer(with 4K, keyboard and mouse support), Forza Motorsport 6: Apex(again with 4K, wheel and gamepad support) , Phantom Dust, Age of Empires Castle Siege and Asphalt 8: Airborne for free on PC.

It is nice to open up my Xbox live account and see all the games I have on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows 10 all in one account. I have games on Steam, GOG, Uplay, Origin, Telltale, Battlenet and even Epic Games on PC, so I don't really see a reason why I shouldn't add Windows 10 PC to that list.

I don't really see a reason why I shouldn't add Windows 10 PC to that list.

Because it was designed as a spyware collection that keeps track of your activity. For some people this doesn't matter, for me it does. Privacy is more important than being able to play a certain game.

It is not just the Windows store that tracks your games. Steam, Uplay, Origin and Battlenet does that too. They are not DRM free. Only GOG in most of their games are DRM free.

Anyways Windows 10 is actually more user friendly to gamers than previous versions via their game mode, especially with the Windows 10 creators update. Here is an article about it:

I wasn't referring to games. If it were just games, I'd be OK with it as long as it stopped there. The whole OS was designed as a Big Brother service that keeps track of you and your activity inside the OS and builds profiling data about you that is shared and cross referenced with various online services. This is extremely risky especially if on your PC there's any sort of sensitive data and you don't use it just for gaming purposes.

I don't know about that. Most of the PC's all over the world are shifting to Windows 10. It has been built from the ground up to be more secure than previous versions, by trying to reduce or remove weaknesses that leave you vulnerable to hacking and malware.

Anyways I am sure there are means like VPN, etc. to help you keep your data private even with Windows 10. You can use those if you are concerned about your privacy.

Yeah, sure, it's pathetic to refuse being monitored by countless genuine spyware instances via the OS that you paid real money to obtain it. It's better to have a sheep like attitude and go with the flow in order to be a part of the largest botnet ever created. Congratulations, enjoy your game!

I'm a Windows user myself and I refuse to be a part of the Windows 10 "network". Besides, I was criticizing the OS not you or anyone else but, as usual, people prefer to get personal in order to defend the honor of such innocent companies that launched an OS designed to track and record every single move of yours and profile your entire virtual and real existence. But hey, it's OK as long as you can play your free game that can only be redeemed and played on Windows 10 just because they decided so, in order to be able to spy on you. So, enjoy the game!

... now Shoo...

You can kindly go "Shoo" yourself as well for telling me to "Shoo".

Then you might also want to stop using the internet because honestly unless you're some super stealthy hacker ace who knows how to take themselves completely off the grid, what you're doing is still being monitored and tracked, Windows 10 or not. =)

Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 2 1/2 years ago, not selling games for an unsupported OS is understandable

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No, it' stupid. Which is why they're selling this as a win7 version as well, and why they post-released a win7 version of Quantum Break. When the sales go down, shoving win10 down people's throats takes a back seat to good ol' cash.

Also, counting MS's "support" as an element relevant for anything is laughable.

Windows 7 versions though are being sold through/on a third party store/platform. If you use Windows 10 and you buy through the Window store you get an appropriate version, if you want a more accessible version you buy it elsewhere. It's no different than buying a game on the Mac App Store and only being able to run it on a Mac.

Not the only game Windows 10 has given away or available for free. I also got Halo 5: Forge multiplayer(with 4K, keyboard and mouse support), Forza Motorsport 6: Apex(again with 4K, wheel and gamepad support) , Phantom Dust with multiplayer starter pack, Age of Empires Castle Siege and Asphalt 8: Airborne for free on Windows 10 PC.

Plus with Windows 10 you can get former Xbox exclusives like Halo Wars 2, Gears of Wars Ultimate, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition(all with 4K support) on PC now.

Not sure if Phantom Dust is still being given away. That might have been a one time deal a few months ago during the E3 event. And only Halo 5 Forge multiplayer is available on Windows 10 and not the single player campaign. The latter is only available on Xbox One.

Just a word of warning. Some of those newer games(Halo 5 and Forza Motorsport 6 Apex) require higher performance hardware with higher RAM and VRAM capacities in order to play smoothly at higher resolution.
