I wasn't that impressed with Chivalry, but War of the Roses looks amazing. Any idea when the next big sale is coming up? This game looks awesome even though it has a fraction of the players Chivalry has. I don't know how I missed the $5 sales and apparently at one point they gave everyone who owned it a gift copy to pass out (awesome devs).

Its not like you can actually buy tf2 keys from the market...oh wait, you can! ;)

But if you really want to grab it during a sale: the summer sale should start this thursday and WotR will be on sale during that.

Well if we only had to take the amount of players in each game and how one of them had to go F2P to try avoiding its death, well. I'd dare to claim otherwise.

"Chivalry is better, just fyi."
Erroneous statement of fact, should be opinion.

"War of the Roses is much, much better imo"

We don't do that, fortunately. Otherwise cod would be the best fps

Maybe he think CoD is the best FPS, you never know.

That's quite funny since a friend of mine compared Chivalry to cod and War of the Roses to Red Orchestra. After playing both for a bit and watching a lot of gameplay videos, i tend to agree

This genre is definitely not everyone's cup of tea! I tend to dominate in these melee medieval style games though and WotR looks so much prettier compared to Chivalry.

If you're only used to Chivalry combat, prepare to suck hard at WotR, at least for the first 10 hours or so :P

I'm sure it will be on sale during the summer sale, it would make sense for it to be.

Isn't the base game free to play? You can probably start playing right away to see how you like it, even if a few classes/weapons are restricted.

+1, I think the only benefits you get by buying the game are the ability to make custom characters and getting more money + xp

+1 ;) i'm playing the 'trial version' right now. no unlocks or anything like that makes me feel like i'm wasting my gameplay though.

You can still earn xp/points, which you'll use when you buy the game! I think it's a good deal.

Nevertheless, it's never a waste if you're having fun.

i didn't know you can build up xp in trial and use it when you buy the game, good stuff

You use gold to buy things. If you are earning gold, then you'll be able to buy things.

I agree with the OP. I had high hopes for Chivalry, but found it disappointing. As for War of the Roses, wait fro the summer sale, and it will probs be $5-10
