Have you heard of it? Will you check it out? ;)
Please lemme know when you find it, I'm a DS enthusiast!

Oh man, there is so much I could say about ZE... so for now, just a bump :)

Zero Escape is so good. I remember playing the first one on the DS. I will be attempting to solve later :]

I charged ahead with all my might (ok, a paper and a pencil too). So far, nothing. I made quite a few analysis, at least.

I am finding far too many ways to interpret things, and I am confused on which piece is for the main puzzle and which is for the side quest.
(P.S. I love the Zero Escape series.)

A bit convoluted, true. The scientific document with the colors is the main part while the ramblings are the secondary.
Hint: Each color corresponds with a number in the scientific document, maybe those numbers (along with the colors) reveal which digits are correct? Maybe even their placement?

i played the first two and really enjoyed way back when

Definitely try when you get the chance, it's quite a bit easier with the hints ;)
My trip was great actually! Went to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto (the over-tourism-ed trifecta) but also branched out a lot! Osaka was the base for most of my day trips such as Kurashiki, Nara, Hiroshima and Miyajima to name a few. One of my favorite days of the trip was going to Enoshima (a small Island relatively near to Tokyo) super early in the morning and chilling on the beach, walking around and exploring what the island has to offer, after which I went to the closest town called Kamakura and had awesome ramen and shopped around and went to attractions / shrines until I got tired.
The aforementioned Hiroshima and Miyajima were a treat, too. Got some coffee soft-serve ice cream after hiking up and down the surrounding area, and while sitting on the ledge looking out at the Floating Torii gate (pictured below) a group of 3-4 deer flocked around me trying to get a lick XD made quite the spectacle for the people around us, too.
I saw lots and lots of wildlife! Monkeys, deer, cats and tons of weird and interesting looking bugs (I love bugs, so it was actually great). I also went to the northern island, Sapporo and Otaru specifically, and during one of my last days in Sapporo I also saw the Yosakoi Soran which is kind of a unique folk dance parade/festival/competition where loads of teams performed. Food stalls, good beer and great, memorable performances. Which reminds me, one of the final things I did on my trip was got a large can of Strong Zero (these puppies pack a punch, they're basically Japanese BuzzBallz), went to the Sanno Matsuri (one of Japan's many summer festivals) in Hie Shrine, Tokyo and watched the beautiful dances from about 6:30pm till when it ended at around 9pm. It was raining pretty hard outside of the small sheltered dance area (May-June is rainy season... -_-) but nobody in the crowd cared one bit. Ended up having half my bag get absolutely soaked and destroyed my kindle sadly, but it was one of the best experiences I had in my life, let alone in Japan. Alcohol made me so hungry I ate about 20 dollar's worth of soy-dipped beef and chicken skewers. Smelled like soy-sauce for 2 days after :,D
Fun times, for sure. The most fun trip I've had to date.

Yosakoi Soran
:p ...This is a bit non-traditional.
It all started in 1992....
There is a festival originally based on a folk song that has been held in Kochi Prefecture since 1952.
And there is a kind of creative dance competition based on the one in Kochi Prefecture, derived from the fisherman's work songs of herring fishermen in the coastal areas of Hokkaido since 1992.
I write this as a supplement.

Well, it seems that what some people have planned for the lack of events is still going on.
In my opinion, if you are near Shikoku, I would recommend the Awa Odori dance because it has more history, although you have to come back again because it is in August.😉

I bought all the games during their big sale earlier this year. They are fantastic! The first one is the best.

Welcome back! I hope you had a great time traveling in Japan, and I’m glad you made it home safely!
Zero Escape! What a blast from the past!
I absolutely love games like that. Escape games are so much fun because you get to enjoy both puzzles and human drama at the same time!
The puzzle you made also sounded really interesting, but I’m thinking of passing on it because of my English skills… (lol)

Just finished the third game about a month ago. Great series.

important to note: there's a region restriction for (some of) the giveaway(s?), to LATAM. Ends July 5th 11:30 UTC -3. Zero Escape and the easter egg are LV3, all the rest are LV2. Feel free to contribute to the train if you feel like it, no rules other than the end time! :D
I've recently started playing a game series called Zero Escape on the DS and 3DS. I've really been enjoying my time with it so I decided to give the game away for anyone interested in playing it (on Steam), and sweeten the deal with some other games :P
Intro:
One evening, while on a walk, you feel a needle prick the back of your neck. In an instant, you lose consciousness.
Some time later, you wake up in a small room with smooth metallic walls. The 3 things that you notice immediately are: the abundance of different colored pipes coming through the walls, what appears to be a huge heavy machinery contraption (into which all the pipes connect) with a screen in the center, and, a huge, sturdy looking door that's blocking your exit. Suddenly, you're jolted into a defensive stance by a booming voice that comes from the ceiling.
While the maniac speaks, you look upwards, seeing 4 speakers in each corner of the ceiling. You manage to scoff before he continues:
You stand up and look around, confused.
Now for the game-play:
You look at the pipes in the room. Each of them is colored and has a large black print featuring one number, followed by a dash and then a character (either number or letter, i.e 2-E or 5-1).
There are 4 sets of pipes, 4 for each category, all in different colors: Red, green, blue and silver. When you take a closer look at the print you can see a crude carving on each of them. The carvings are: Cube, Star, Moon, Sun and Circle (🟨⭐🌕☀️🟡).
You write down each of the pipes' prints as well as their markings and separate them into color categories with a / between each print, just to make it easier on the eyes... You note that the number 3 doesn't appear even once in the left side of the dash, prompting you to look for the 3rd character elsewhere. You do, however, notice that all the pipes that have a #5 on their left side were carved into a 3 shape, making it difficult to understand whether the digit is the 3rd or 5th in the code.
Whatever, this probably pertains to something other than the main route so ignore this for now.
Below one of the pipes, you spot a shiny glint. You pick up the item which turns out to be a small, wooden, gem adorned box in which you find a folded double sided paper. One side looks to be a scientific document of sorts, with colorful markings on some of the writing, as well as a huge Z in the middle of the page, both of which were probably added after the fact. As opposed to the organized and (somewhat) clean look of the one side, the other is a mess, looking more like the nonsensical satanic mumblings of an old, tired conspiracy nut than anything else (which you personally don't believe in, but don't hold any judgement or ill will towards the conspiracy nut for, as the kindhearted person you are). Upon further examination, the writings look a lot like the crude carvings you saw on the pipes earlier, maybe there's a connection to be made?
In any case, looks like this might be the document to help decrypt the code for the computer-machine-thing. A closer look at the screen reveals that itt has 5 characters that you have to enter for the lock to... give way (wink wink)...
Hint 1: The scientific document with the colors is the main part while the ramblings are the secondary
Hint 2: Each color corresponds with a number in the scientific document, maybe those numbers (along with the colors) reveal which digits are correct? Maybe even their placement? Beware the other colors, they might be red herrings :)
