Day 16 Part 1
Off to the Singapore Zoo. I don't normally go to zoos, but this one was supposedly pretty unique, with more "natural enclosures". First up, though, kaya toast for breakfast. Is it traditional to cut off the crust?

The zoo is indeed quite open. They have monkies and peacocks that roam around freely through the zoo. The enclosures are nice too - in most cases, you're separated from the animals by a moat and some shrubs. The orangutan enclosure actually allows them to climb up the trees right above the main road/walkway. I feel bad for this polar bear - it's not right to put an arctic animal in a country with 90+ degree heat every day!

I had no idea a creature called a mousedeer exists. I feel like something is really wrong with their legs. So disproportionate compared to the body.

In the Rainforest Experience section, you can get up close to the animals. Mousedeer with pigeon and duck friends. Monkey sitting on a branch right next to the path.

Lunch was a nasi lemak in the zoo restaurant.

Was that even toasted? It looks like regular bread to me. Cutting off the crust is common though.

That poor polar bear looks like it wasn't happy at all. 😢

Lovely photos but I feel so bad for the polar bear, this shouldn't be allowed :(

Thanks a lot for your zoo pictures. I regularly like to go to a zoo or nature park in Belgium and Holland. :-)

The mousedeer looks like a creature generated by No Man's Sky.
