CV is not permanent. If a game's price drops, or gets retroactively bundled you lose the CV you already have. I lost a level when a game I gave away over a year ago was added to the bundled list even though I paid nonbundle price. This won't happen in every case though, if you give away a game and its bundled, say the week after your giveaway ended your CV will not be reduced from it.
