Ok so I have Tiny Tina, forgotten and Mute uncle. My gf did not have Tiny Tina and I threatened cancellation so they gave me 1/3 discount so I took it. Got the bundle for about USD$8 and GF is happy, which is worth much more :)

I did the same thing. None of the games interest me, and all will probably get given away here. The only reason I'm keeping this month is because it offered the discount. It's decent CV fodder if nothing else.
Not sure why Autonauts is there at all, either. I literally have multiple copies of that to give away still, it's way too common to get in random bundles.

The Forgotten City is among the best video games ever made and Tiny Tina's a high quality AAA game, so that's fun. Generally the secondary games didn't impress me sadly.

I got literally nothing even after pausing, but not even before that - 2€ off and stuff, never really reaching even 7€ diacount. Discounts and offers are heavily biased based on countries, Hungary is always at the bottom of the barrel. On tremorgames I got an offer every few weeks, while both western-EU and Afghanistan had enough for people to farm games. It's a joke.

You know you need to be and stay paused to get another chance at coupons if not getting one right away, right? I only shortly unpaused to buy something with the Choice discount, the rest of the time during the month I am constantly paused. And I didn't get one right when pausing for months now.

Oh ok, sorry for that misunderstanding. Yeah I'am still waiting for a month without a better coupon to finally redeem that gift year I've bought.
The good thing is: that means you might still get a chance at those coupons as soon as you've used up your tokens. And then just pause after the reveal each month - only unpause shortly if you want to use the discount - and otherwise stay paused until you get a good enough coupon or until the end of the month to decide if you want to buy it or not.

I would probably play Tiny Tina at some point, even though I was far from impressed with the first Borderlands game... I thought I'd wait to see if HB would eventually send offers like they did last month so I ended up pausing my sub. I was offered $4 off aaaaand... still paused instead of grabbing the bundle. I'm not sure what happened, it's like my brain didn't fully register I could get the bundle for cheaper. Fingers crossed HB will email coupons sometimes this month.

I feel silly. I impulsively actiivated my keys, then went "Wait, did I already have Tiny Tina?" I looked at my license page. Sure enough, I already had the Chaotic Great bundle. So, I used the key for an armor DLC instead of gifting it. Oops FML. Hopefully, I learn a lesson about activating bundles.

Steam does not itself sell a different package for every country. Since these region locked packages are only sold as keys, you can't click a /sub/ link to the Steam Store and expect to see, well, anything. If exactly that package is not sold on the Steam Store, you will just get redirected to the front page.
What I think happened here: You fundamentally misunderstood how packages on Steam function. You clicked the Steam / SteamDB game page, and then saw the Steam Store package of the game, and assumed Humble must be giving you a key for exactly this package since your Steam acc is UK and your Humble acc is UK. However, this Steam Store package is sold on the Steam Store to every buyer regardless of country. It has nothing to do with what kind of package a Steam key will activate.
For third party stores like Humble, in case of region locked games they give you a specific type of key based on your country. One has to try activating a Steam key to see what package it is for. In a Humble Choice or other bundle, every buyer in a group of countries gets the same type of key (for the same package), which can easily be identified by the gift link notification (before one reveals the key). Only using semi-advanced tools like ArchiSteamFarm, the SteamDB browser extension, or the Steam client's built in hidden features can you identify what exactly a key does, and again, only by trying to activate it (or after having activated it).
That's also why when (once every few weeks) there is the unfortunate situation of a bundle key that people can activate despite already owning the game, at least one or two users have to fall victim to this before others can be warned. There is no way of identifying a key without risking it.

It's not weird. Humble Bundle notifications are misleading. For "not available in...", the notification doesn't reflect the region lock of YOUR key, but it merely says: "these countries receive a region locked keys". ROW purchases ALWAYS have a big list of countries in the notification, as long as those receive region locked keys,
That's why we spend so much time and effort figuring out the REAL region locks in the OP. Because Humble just doesn't care to give you correct information.
