Deus Ex; Human Revolution worth it or not for a past player?

I rented DE:HR as soon as it came out on XBox, finished it within a week, alternating between lethal and non-lethal. I then bought the game about 8 months after, got a quarter way through it and traded it in to get some new game (Can't remember which ATM). Would it be worth it to buy it again on PC to play through lethally/non-lethally?

It's cheap as heck on Steam right now, but Amazon's selling the Steam version even cheaper - check here for the details. If you like this sort of game, it's hard to beat these prices...

Well, I've played it soon after release with mix of sneaking and guns blazing. Now I'm playing it on Give me Deus Ex difficulty, non-lethal and without raising any alarms. I love this game.

I did that for my second playthrough too. It's tricky to know if you've gone all the way through non-lethally since enemies can get killed by falling after being tranq'ed and such. On finishing the game there's a moment of "ohshitohshitdidIgetit?" :D

I managed not to kill anyone, but must've set off an alarm somewhere. :( Will have to play it again some time and try again. :)

Yeah, I'm double checking everything. My friend screwed up, because in the tutorial beginning before augmentation, when there was hint to shoot the baddies, he shot them instead of avoiding them. Oh, that sound of the butthurt ^^

Yeah that part of the game is tough if you're going non-lethal. Best to only try that on the second playthrough. I had assumed that kills there wouldn't count since you're not given an option to incapacitate but they do. Gotta just sneak past. :D

It's been a while, but the part I remember being most frustrating with the non-lethal style is something with a helicopter, you have to keep someone alive, or something. Don't remember the details, but I do remember a lot of retries... :)

Yah, I'm waiting for this moment. Saw video on YT, and the key is to knock out guys on the ground while being invisible, throw EMP grenade at robot (and make sure that his self-destruct won't kill the baddies) and shoot the guys at the upper floors with tranqualizer rifle. Well, that's theory :D

And check afterwards that the guys on the roof didn't fall off and die... Otherwise, reload and try again. :D

Good point:D And after HR I will try to beat Missing Link without upgrading augmentations and using items. Seems like a nice challenge. Also, love your Archer on a rampage avatar;)

Some of us misguided fools are hoping Square Enix will pull a CD Projekt and upgrade everyone free of charge. But I think a "fixed boss fights" paid dlc is more likely... :(
