Am not looking to get rich quick or anything, just a good fun game that i can casualy play and earn items/keys for selling trading.
I seem TF2 keys are the most popular but I don't know how time consuming it would be to earn those kind of items,
DOTA 2 and warframe look good.

Dota 2 is not good for that anymore, items that drop are not marketable and not tradable, Dota trading is ded because of many things that went bad in last year and Valve is trying to recover market, one of steps to recover was making drops not tradable and not marketable.

Best is CSGO, but it is not f2p.

I don't mind buying a good game, i wish i had got it on sale....so why do you suggest CSGO over TF2?

All drops in CSGO are tradable and marketable, while TF2 drops are tradable but many of them are not marketable.

Plus CSGO trading is doing really good, item prices are stable, betting is doing work also to keep demand for guns.

And if you play CSGO when patch is out, patch that brings new treasure chest, if you get lucky to get that newest crate then in first few hours you can sell it for 4+ euros.

There is multiple sites where people bet items on competitive teams when those play tournaments or league games.

Most popular is http://csgolounge.com/, it is site for trading and betting.

People bet items worth 240 euros...and some of them get over 1000 in return...

There is also subreddit for betting discussion and advice http://www.reddit.com/r/csgobetting/

It is crazy, I personaly bet just cheap items, for fun when I want to watch csgo game with more tension.

There was this time when I bet my Cobalt disruption Desert Eagle (valued in $5) for Fnatic. They were against a horrible team, and they lost. I stopped betting that day.

More fast to sell than TF2 D: In TF2 you have to make some extra steps to make/build items that could sell well in the market or be used for trade D:

CS:GO 100%. The F2P games don't drop marketable stuff so you can't even sell it.

My secret way (Not anymore I guess) of gaining cash fast:

  1. Check out (Most of the times new released) Anime games that come with Trading Cards.
  2. Cute Backgrounds? Continue if yes.
  3. Buyout cards and craft for Profile Backgrounds, preferably Rare.
  4. Sell them and get profit.

Example: Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle
Cat Sakurai Sisters Profile Background is listed for $63.25 but a set of Badge costs $3.72.

Note: The more Profile Backgrounds, the more risky it takes.
Example: Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Lounging Around Profile Background is listed for $45.68 but a set of Badge costs $1.45. 10 Possible backgrounds though.

High Risk, High Return. =) The trick is frequently check the Market by searching "Rare Profile Background" and comparing the price with SteamCardExchange site whether it's worth the risk to buyout all the cards and craft them or not.

listed != sold
Both of your examples were sold in past for around third of the listed price.

That's why I said "..background is listed for..". The price can be changed and That's definitely not an actual price you can sell.

The point is you'll get the profit nonetheless if you're lucky enough to get the preferred Background. =)

To be honest it's not great.

We're limited to craft a Badge up to level 5. And again, quite risky.

Technically you could create more Steam accounts just to craft badges on (or have someone who you trust to craft).

Pixel puzzles Japan. It's free on Indiegala and has Steam Trading cards you can sell.

Also, scrap.tf is a place to exchange TF2 Refined metal for keys or steam games.

i was thinking about that, but it seems like the time to get ref is just too lengthy. I never tried it..just from what I Read, and with my job am lucky to have a few hours a night free to play games.

Sins of a Dark age could potentially be a good place to get marketable items, but most people are waiting for the free to play update, so there are very few buy orders.

Rust is bad for drop. Every 50 hours you play in Rust you will get a new skin.

while rust is bad for drops, it doesnt really need you to plat it (only keep it open cough asf cough).
Also, you can family share rust to 5 other accounts and get 6 drops / 50h play.
Cheap method but to long term it can pay some games.

To my suprise PUBG is a great money machine. Your skill in game (place in a match) is converted into currency which you can later exchange for crates. It brings a stable incom, not mentioning any special crates - for example Gamescom one (easy few bucks).

Don't starve together drops 4 Items a Week.
Most of the time it's not that good stuff but before some events you will get at least 0.04$ each item...

BUT from time to time you get better drops. I got an skin that brought me 20€ just before sale.
