ummm what bundles were The Way Of Love: Sub Zero and Gran Skrea Online bundled in before, it says 1 for the bundled count, but no bundle shows up in ITAD.

They'd still have needed ~3000 preorders to get the same $ amount that was actually pre-ordered this time around.
Groupees have been struggling on that count... even the BaB hasn't hit anywhere near that with it's $1 preorder price.
Yes, they might get less pre-orders with BM38, but that's not necessarily true, as the lack of details surrounding the BMA5 still garnered almost 1K preorders.

Yeah, they somehow devolved from being one of my favourites to "time to weep for the earth" deplorable. The worst thing is it happened over a several year long gradual process of pain and misery.

I don't feel like I missed out much, even with the preorder price. The Way of Love could be interesting, and the DROD game reminded me I got a copy of DROD: Gunthro and the Epic Blunder that I absolutely couldn't start in 2017 may, but now it starts up without any issues - so I kind of got my old, not working game back :)

Well, the first Be Mine sold roughly 25.000 copies, and the next one roughly 9500.
Of course, there are other bundle stores nowadays but in my opinion, the current number is an indicator of the fact that a lot of people have lost their faith in Groupees. They have a lot more bundles than before, but the quality decreased substantially over the past 2-3 years. I think that their strongest point is still mixing music and games, which no other bundle store does. And their music is pretty good most of the times.
Feel free to check the "Previous bundles" section in the OP for more accurate numbers.

I feel the indie game low hanging fruit bonanza ended a few years ago ... groupees were fortunate to be at around at the boom and now we see the bust. Even standard humble bundles on the whole are so much weaker.

that's what i've thought seeing those numbers (have already checked past bundles, but hard to find the time duration of those...) and it looks like a trend, imo. so, a tad dangerous
didn't cared (pretty much for everything i've bought there) about music, still, found their "weird" site handy, simple to use and quite fun, as per music stuff (i.e. the little player), that could be a +.
what i think they should really hard try are games, tho. might be that a selection of steampunk, (even itch.io stuff) niche devs, ...all that stuff you can see we like in your threads...
what they should make treasure of, is, as usual, what they've learnt from their years and years of activity.
kinda, i wouldn't be that happy if they'd will have to close the doors...

I actually liked getting a handful of point-and-click/puzzle games. Just Ignore Them was also a game that I thought looked fairly interesting. I'm glad to have gotten it, though I can see other people not being happy.
