Well for the most part I play Dwarves in any rpg, and I've always had a special place in my grim heart for the Morndinsamman from the Forgotten Realm settings(particularly 2E-3.5E). My favorite Dwarven deities are Moradin and Clangeddin, and therefore two of my favorite characters I ever played were my fighter-cleric Baradun Ironshield, Alaghor of Clangeddin and my paladin(Hammer) of Moradin, Dorgrim Honorkeeper.

Divine has a nicer ring to it. Arcane isn't arcane anymore once its "magic" is understood.
But you could still sacrifice your pet goat for, to make arcane look cool again.
