Who's excited for Football Manager 2014?

I have FM2012 and I'm a little excited for the 2 year improvements. I've got FM2014 on my wishlist and I hope one day soon to buy (or win ;) ) it. What about you? What do you think? Worth it? Not worth it?

I follow AS Roma and Serie A, and despite Roma's historic record breaking start to this season I can't watch it because I'm in the US and it costs more than $100 dollars a month to get a package that would include english commentary Italian games. So would I love to? Yes.

Historically speaking. The biggest updates to the FM series come in the even numbered years.

I bought it a couple of days ago and so far I must say I miss the good old "Championship Manager" days. It seems fun though, I've barely scratched the surface and I hope I'll get used to the new UI. :)

I invested 800 hours into FM2012 (according to Steam; FM itself says a lot more), so... I think it wouldn't be a good idea to EVER get any of the newer FMs.

Absolutely worth it. Tactics are improved, match engine is better and less buggier than other ones. I've so far played the beta for 42 hours and loving everything of it. This is the best football game at the moment, and yes that includes FIFA 14.

FIFA and FM are really two different types of games. FIFA is more about playing the game, FM is more about managing the team.

Take a look at the Steam statistics page, there is usually an FM game in the top5. :)

Last year at a point there was 3 different FM editions at top 100, 2 of which were at top 10 iirc

Yeah, FM is one of those games that tons of people use steam exclusively for, like say CoD. Just not a lot of people knows/talks about it because it's singleplayer. :)

Last football manager game I played was Anstoß 3 and even that got fucked because of licencing issues and with EA blocking FM out of Germany since years, the genre died for me :(
