Hello, I am one of the developers behind War of the Human Tanks. Since we are involved with the IndieFort Countdown Bundle, I would like to tell you about what this bundle is and how it works. But first, have a look at its trailer on YouTube.

Countdown Bundle is made of five separate bundles, a new bundle every week for five weeks. Each bundle is made of four games and priced at $4. For each bundle you buy, the next one will be $1 cheaper. So if you buy the first one, the second bundle is only $3; buy that and the next one is $2, going that way next one is $1 and the final bundle (that is to say, the one War of the Human Tanks is in) will be completely free.

That's $10 for a total of 20 games at the end of five weeks. We also have bonuses that will unlock upon reaching set sales goals that include 7 more games, 6 OSTs and an add-on. Making the full price of everything you are getting for just $10 into a grand total of $250. A 96% discount is a deal you should not to miss.

We have also teamed up with the kind folks at the charity organization Help-Daniel. We are dedicating part of the proceeds from the full five weeks of sales to him, and want to reach out to the community for help in the hopes he makes a full recovery soon.

Since this bundle is hosted by GamersGate, you will get a key for everything there. Also the games on this bundle that have Steam versions already present will give Steam keys to add to your account. (Marked those with (STEAM) below) The rest are all on Greenlight (except 2, here is a link to the Greenlight Collection) and you will get a Steam key for those when they are greenlit with your votes. So don't forget to vote YES for them. (Marked those with (Greenlight) below)

Good time to use those IGN Prime discounts before they go away.

GG needs to add PP or PSC to the available payment methods before I consider buying something there.

There is some confusion about that, I'll reply again after I get official confirmation about what's going on. I'm not affiliated with GamersGate, so I need to wait to see one of their people online to ask about this.

So I got a reply from GG support today, stating the following:
"This game is not compatible with Steam and is actually not protected with DRM - this is what it states on the requirements tab. Only some games are protected with Steam and are therefore compatible with that platform. Usually such titles are the ones that are exclusively released with Steam. Please download such games from our servers and they will work having all the requirements supported for them. Steam redeemable games have Steamworks specifically noted as DRM."

But, checking my GG account, I did indeed receive a key for Caster. Nice to see support knows what they're talking about. lol.

Anywho, thanks again, echo and elecorn!

I bought week 1 + week 2 and did NOT get a discount as far as I can tell. :/

It should have applied it in the cart before checking out, but you have the option of removing the discount, so it's possible you did so by accident?

Permalink

It's an interesting idea.

I might have been up for 20 games for $10, had I seen this sooner. Now I've missed the first week, so the point is gone.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can look at it as 11 games+6 OSTs and whatnot for $4 too.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's assuming everything unlocks. It probably will, but don't count your chickens before they hatch and all that.

My point was that due to the way the pricing works, I would pay exactly the same now as I would have if I had seen this in the first week, but get fewer games. It's not as good of a deal now as it was last week.

If, instead of this staggered bundle, it was all the games all at once for $10, that would be a much easier sell.

Think of it an an early-adopter bonus...you were not an early-adopter. It's really not that different than when other indie bundles are first released and the BTA is super low...people that get in right away get the games for cheaper than you. Or what about how Steam has been offering a lot of pre-order discounts of late (eg. Don't Starve). If you're not an early-adopter, you'll have to pay a higher price later on (unless you wait for a sale).

That's my point exactly. The bundle is still going on, but I missed the sale. For me, the bundle is already over.

I talked to the GamersGate about this a bunch of times by now. They are now working on a plan to allow buying missed bundles. I'll let you know when they tell me something more concrete.

A big thanks to echoMateria and the other developers for offering their work at such an affordable price. There are a lot of exciting titles in that lot, and I honestly wish I could afford to throw some of you guys more than the bundle price for your games. I actually already own a couple of the games but I am happy to rebuy when it helps worthy developers and affords me the chance at many other games at a still great price.

This will be the last thing I buy on Gamersgate because of their decision to attempt to weasel out of their promise to provide permanent discounts to IGN subscribers.

I appreciate that. I'd bought in anyway, I was just hoping I could still pick up the first week's bundle, even if I'd missed out on the discount.

Following poczta's lead below, it is possible to buy individual bundles even after their weeks are over by clicking these links to add them to your shopping chart. All discounts also apply.

Fueling Up bundle still goes in the cart. Space Suit bundle says: "This product is not available for purchase" :-(

Now that's twice that I've been just a little too late for this bundle.

They are working on a design to allow everyone to buy all bundles in the last week, so people like you wouldn't miss the chance. I'll reply when I hear more about this plan.
