Hah, nice one! Last time I did something similar (https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/RcN2K/trifox) I got around 15% entries of the entries of the original public giveaway. But I made a small bot protection and it was not the same games (it was a small train).

The percentage of people joining both of these giveaways is now about 15%, same as yours last year. This is abnormally high, even when comparing to giveaways made a long time ago.

I don't know what's causing this. Yours was a level 3 giveaway. This one is region-restricted? Maybe some regions are more populated by bots than others.

Putting in any type of puzzle seems to lower the amount of people entering the subsequent giveaways, but I doubt it's filtering out just the bots. Maybe the puzzle was too hard to solve if you're on a smartphone.

Somtimes its too hard to solve, and for some its too hard to bother
I personaly opted out of some puzzle because the ratio jigidi that had way too many pieces + low chance to win / how much i want to play the game was not worth the hassle in my mind

I stopped doing puzzles for that reason. I suspect that, for a giveaway behind a puzzle, there's often collectively more time put in solving the puzzle than into playing the game.

Some people, like me, uses ESGST to enter without opening the giveaway page itself. That could lead to some skipping the description and thus not noticing subsequent gibs xp

It's handy, isn't? I just saw this hided one because I was solving some puzzles on discussions, so my mind was sharp for sneaky hyperlinks (that could lead to some Rick Roll sometimes...) hehe

I use that but there's an option to show the description of the giveaway when you enter it, it's really useful so i recommend turning that on
