Be aware, this game is not easy to learn, but if you take your time, it's worth every single minute. A great game, great atmosphere and historically accurate.

Your description made me curious. As I can see most negative reviews are based on a steep learning curve.Is it really that hard to get into the game, or only to master it?

On the second thought you have a point. Usually games like this one can be played with only basic understanding of the mechanics, but you don't get much fun of them at that level.

While I love Grand Strategy games and play them more than anything else, this period is the least interesting for me, so I'm gonna sit this one out.
