Any specific genres you prefer?
I recently watched Big Fish again and was reminded why it is one of my favourite movies. Beautiful.

I'm a movie nerd so I watch any kind of movies, but my favorite genre is "mindf*$"/confusing movies. Big Fish is a masterpiece, though

I'm not much of a movie buff, so most movies I could think of are probably already fairly well known, but here's a few that come to mind:
Shutter Island, The Man from Earth, Predestination, The Truman Show, and my personal favourite movie: Memento.

I would recommend you a movie, but I don't think there is any movie that everyone would like, so I would to know what kind of movies do you like before throwing a recommendation.
(Also, thanks for the big chances to win an awesome game).

Something like The Haunting of Hill House (although that's a tv series)? Longlegs was a pretty good horror thriller in my opinion too. I will check out my list later and drop some more recommendations.

Are you into psychological horror or slow-paced horror? Movies like The Witch or What Josiah Saw were pretty good, but I think they are pretty niche in terms of audience.

From last year, I recommend "The Substance". Movie of the year for me. It's also mindf*cky, which I see is your preference.
From a few years ago - "Captain Volkonogov escaped". Russian historical fiction drama, with a bit of kick.
Another mindf*ck film I watched recently, and I think it's decent, but you might enjoy it more - "Synecdoche, New York".
Samurai film I watched last year, and enjoyed - "Love and honor". It's more romantic drama, than swordfighting.
Best martial arts film for me: "The Raid: Redemption". An Indonesian special police team attacks a block where a gang has its headquarters. Brutal moves in tight quarters, and some smart camera work.
Cool Japanese absurdist comedy - "Love exposure". It's hard to explain, but it's about a guy chasing the girl of his dreams. Be wary, it's about 4h long.
Good South Korean action flick: "Ballerina". No, it's not like that John Wick spinoff. Although, it's in the same vein. A woman takes revenge on some gangsters, after they kill her friend.
"Chlopi" (The Peasants): Pretty looking film, that mixes live-action with hand-painted visuals. It's a rural period drama, set in Poland, sometime in the 19th century.
