A slow-paced, story-driven adventure game developed by a one man team at Proximity Games. It was released this year, on my birthday. So there's that. Its best attribute appears to be the humor that can be derived from its rough edges; much like my life. KPopp does a great job of illustrating this technique.

Don't mention it. Cool Steam profile background.

tl;dr: Thanks for the YouTube link.
Kudos for going the extra mile. I usually add interesting titles to my Steam wishlist (to get later), provided decent coverage of the game can be found online.
This is obviously no easy task for many obscure indie titles. This one looked so rough at first glance that I wasn't even going to bother looking if you haven't posted that link.

If the play on "I'm a sucker for a pretty face" is also meant literally, you might like the look of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. It's been remastered and updated. I'm not usually big on "remote viewing" or other "extrasensory abilities" type stories. But this one looks interesting because it sounds like a solid detective mystery set in a gorgeous walking simulator. Check out the third video on the Store page. It is narrated by one of the developers. I wasn't able to afford it when it was on sale for $5 during the Summer Sale. It's number two on my Wishlist, after The Talos Principle.

Actually, The Vanishing has been on my radar for some time now. Pretty much a similar story to yours - with so many games in my backlog, waiting for a lower price cut or a bundle.
Bought Bizarre Earthquake by the way. Choice line from KPopp's video: "I like the old lady - THOUGH SHE'S PROBABLY A MURDERER!"

She is quite amusing.
Tell driver that he should get you off at the guest house. :Þ

I like it when she reads, "In addition to my problems, I'm dealing with Bora's caprices," pauses at the last word, doesn't know it or want to take a stab, so she just says nothing.

"What if WE murder the old lady instead? I don't know why we would. That's too far. But if we can't [bleeped] ourself, there's no point in living anymore."
I wonder what she said.
