This is the best comedy show ever. With M*A*S*H
being a close second.
Yes Minister follows the ministerial career of the Rt Hon Jim Hacker MP. His various struggles to formulate and enact legislation or effect departmental changes are opposed by the British Civil Service.
The above might sound dry but believe me, it's incredibly funny and so very true to life. It's no surprise that the writers had quite a few government sources.
