The game has a free version with only 3 playable civilizations and with a limited map pool. This will give you full access to the main game. (All main game civs, maps, campaign, etc)

You dont need to install free trial version. It is the full version of the game without the DLCs
My point is it will let me enter if I already bought the base game. So sort of a duplicate game possibility, but not detected by SG.
so if I have this free demo version it will upgrade it to base game?
