Holiday Sale 2011 Gift: Multiwinia
Note that only 10 of the 12 Steam Achievements are working. I also have the game but did not play it yet, however I found Darwinia - which is said to be very similar - not so interesting.
There are a few videos on Youtube showing the game, you might want to check those out to see if you would like that game.

This is the fault of the developers, two achievements just don't work.

It is Explorer and Master of Multiwinia, if I remember correctly.
