I don't think most people say thanks because they feel obligated to, I honestly feel that for most people, it comes from a genuine sense of gratitude for giving them the opportunity to own a game which they want.

I think that's some people, yes, but I think there's a lot of people who just write thanks with nothing behind it that I feel compelled by my OCD to respond to.
