Stardock Entertainment is "specialized" in making multiple editions of the same game.
I think it's a way to put negative reviews aside, and get a fresh start with the chance of getting more positive reviews... Or else, I don't understand.
They did the same thing with Sorcerer King (deleted from the store), which become Sorcerer King: Rivals.
Ashes of the Singularity (deleted from the store) become Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation.
And I'm sure there are other examples. So, to my opinion, it's the same game but with less updates.
