Thank you so very much for this. I've been dying (well, not literally) to play the game. Every giveaway for it has been far too long to give me any hope. And while I still will likely not win, I sincerely thank you for doing a quick giveaway for DOTA 2.
Edit reply to your added question: I'm not sure. Is it a key, or is it a Steam gift sent through email? If it is a key, it should, but I am not 100% on this as I have no experience with the DOTA 2 beta.

Well, this depends if it is a gift copy or if accepting it will send it directly to your library. Perhaps if he is able to resend it without you accepting it (again, not sure if this works for the DOTA 2 beta, but it works for normal games), and then sent it to the winner for you.
