I had Ostriv in my wishlist since 2020, but I've played so many games of that genre that for $25 I don't know if it's worth it. I'd definitely grab it if it went down to $15 or so, but it never goes on sale.
As for some "hidden gems", I always recommend Not For Broadcast. I was never interested in FMV games because they always seemed like they're on the verge of breaking the 4th wall (or are doing it intentionally), but the setting (being a TV camera operator) just makes sense. I really enjoyed it.
Hexcells Infinite is a great Minesweeper alternative, even though it's a really simple game. I hate that Minesweeper is random, it is possible to lose simply because you have a 50/50 chance of getting a bomb. Hexcells gets rid of randomness and has a few features thrown in.

I recognized Ostriv by name. Good to see the game is still getting updates and getting such positive reviews but I'm very hesitant in buying any early access game.

Hmm Deja vu.
This time ill suggest Holstin. It hasnt even released yet, but it feels like it will be less known and underrated.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1704180/Broken_Alliance/ I played the demo recently, and just smashed that WL button. The writing is so good there, and the gameplay has lots of potential (even though it's not there yet)

I'll recommend Figment - it's a charmingly looking puzzle game with creative art and fantastic sound design. Everything has a sound here and I had fun just running around hitting everything to get those different sounds!
