I understand the desire to have a clean buffer but unless you ongoing topics in the discussions (or be very active there), does it matter? Anyway, I prefer to drop a thanking comment when entering so I will refrain from entering as you desired none.
I'll be honest, I expected maybe 5% of people to read what I wrote at all. I was expecting to have a 100 messages that all said thanks. So you shouldn't cheat yourself out of the chance. :)
