Are you sure this is not a mistake? If you have bought a key, that is for the Rockstar Games Social Club, not for Steam. You can't buy Steam keys for this game.

Yes, you can buy it on Steam directly, but you can't buy a key that can be activated on Steam.

Edit: the only chance he has of fulfilling this GA is if he adds the winner as a friend on Steam and buys a gift copy afterwards (gift copies can't be stored in the inventory for later use anymore) directly for the winner. And it can very well be full price during the entire week he has to do so.

Steam sale is June 21 to July 5th. Pretty safe bet that GTA V will be on sale. He can still run afoul of regional pricing differences preventing cross-region purchases, of course, so it's not without its risk.

In any case, the GA creator has all the info he needs. I recommend leaving it to the mods, who will let the GA run its course.

Damn, sorry, I miscounted. I've got to start paying attention when I comment.

Also, if the GA creator sees this: you need to get in touch with the winner so they can receive the game before you buy it. Since you can no longer gift to inventory or email, I believe you have to have them accept a friend request first.
