Hey. One of the weirdest and IMO the best movie is: "Donnie Darko" -- sci-fi. But If you wanna to be afraid, I recommend: "The Darkness" (2002) with great twist at the end.

Man, I gotta say I watched Donnie D. like a month ago for the first time, freakin LOVED it! I'm even using Frank for my avatar on YT.
Movies, eh? What about "Pandorum"? My buddy recommended it to me. Liked it a lot, plentiful of scary atmosphere.
Newer movies: Cloud Atlas, Looper, Dredd, Taken 2.. (about to watch these myself)
Spirited Away, damn good animated movie. Also Starship Troopers Invasion (liked it, though not a fan), Wonderful Days.
Check YIFI's site, if you haven't heard of him yet. Loads of 720p movies in average of 800mb.(1080p as well)

There was a sequel to Donnie Darko that I didn't find out about until recently. It's a bit different from the first but its a good watch for anyone who enjoyed the first.

Pan's Labyrinth.. one of the best movies i ever seen.. hands down to Mr. Guillermo del Toro for this one.

lars von trier's "europa" from back when he was a prankster formalist rather than a prankster anti-formalist. also, the true predecessor to eternal sunshine is alain resnais's "je t'aime, je t'aime" although the big issue with that is that uh i don't think it's available on region one dvd... so just go with charlie kaufman's "synecdoche, new york" if you haven't already seen it, because it's his best work by far.

Back on topic though, Employee of the Month (NOT the Dane Cook one) is great if you love dark comedies.

Not really an underground movie, but in my humble opinion a really funny, weird, black comedy movie is Delicatessen (Marc Caro, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, 1991) see Wikipedia, but mind the spoils!

I'm not sure how weird and lesser known you're looking for but Brand Upon the Brain! A Remembrance in 12 Chapters (2006) should fit the bill, and it's great. Not as much as Eternal Sunshine, but few films are.

You gotta try "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring". It's a Korean film but its quality surpasses many of the Hollywood bullcrap. The style is quite weird: throughout the film, almost no words were spoken. Well, just try it.
