I usually stick to the games from my wishlist while I enter giveaways, too, though if there's something I don't know and it looks interesting, then why not! Thank you for that giveaway - The Crypt os something I've been wanting to play for a long time. I love rhytm games and this one gets good opinions even from my friends who don't like this genre, so - thanks again!

Not being a leech definitely will come back to you later. The more you gift, the higher your level. Most of the giveaways are level restricted, so you just can access them if your level is high enough.
Keep a look at the discussion board. There are many invite-only giveaways (that just can be entered with the link within the discussion) where you got better chances to win because of less participants. ;)

Thanks Writhe! I usually enter only wishlisted giveaways, too. That means I usually am at 300 points everytime I enter the site, and hardly ever expend them, but that's alright, I've gotten a couple keys from those "thousands of keys for this game you have never heard about" and never actually played them, which is awful. Thanks again for the change! A good friend of mine is a great fan and I have always wanted to play.
